Name. Neil Dougall Position. Technical Designer About. I started my career with Reema Construction in North Baddesley, where I successfully completed my training, on day release basis, for my ONC and HNC in General Building Studies. I was with the company for over twenty years and during that time our parent company changed hands twice and Reema underwent several name changes. |
In 1991 Hall & Tawse introduced Autocad 11 in to the design office. Being the first person to be trained on the system I was instrumental in setting up the cad procedures and proving to the directors that computer aided design was the way forward.
When the company eventually closed down in 2000 we were trading as Alfred McAlpine Partnership Homes, who were part of Alfred McAlpine Homes Division and we were based in Calmore. After the company closed I joined an architectural practice in Romsey, preparing working drawings for one the South's leading social house builders.
Early in 2005 Chris and Steve invited me to join them and Tony Coghe in setting up the Partnership, with the purpose of providing their clients with a technical design service.
Tony and I both joined the company on its first day of trading in April 2005, the correct move for me and a great company to work for.
Since working with AutoCAD I have successfully completed City & Guilds courses in 3D Modelling and AutoCAD Customization. I have found the customization course invaluable, as it has allowed me to tailor AutoCAD to my requirements.
Amongst my spare time activities I enjoy walking and my digital camera is never far away as I am a keen photographer. Whilst I enjoy most types of music, some in moderation, I like to listen to classical music and Puccini in particular. I also enjoy sight seeing and amongst the places I have visited on my travels are Moscow and Leningrad, as it was then, and Petra in Jordan.
